    1. She won a fiver (five pounds).
    2. It started in 2004 and it's run in 11 European countries.
    3. A Scottish couple won 161 million pounds in July 2011.
    4. They spend 140 pounds a year.
    5. For low income earners it means a large proportion of their income.
    6. 28 per cent of the money collected goes to good causes, but a lot of these causes are supporting the rich people. For example, they supported the Royal Opera House, which is a place only rich people go to.
    7. They hope to get out of the economic hole they are in.
    8. Because of the publicity in the newspapers.
    9. Because newspapers always find out an publicize it. It's better to get the publicity over at the beginning and then the fame will drop off and you'll be able to enjoy your money.

    1. 90 million pounds
    2. Horror stories. Newspapers prefer bad stories because good stories are boring.
    3. He was 19. He was unemployed and he didn't have a bank account.

    5. He bought 4 houses, a villa in Spain, expensive cars, gold jewellery, drugs.

    10. If you were happy before winning the lottery, you'll be happy after it (and the other way round).

    13. They both have put money aside for their children's education. They were sensible with the money (they didn't change their lives).
    14. Newspapers made up horrible stories about them because they didn't believe they could be happy.
