How to motivate employees?

Glossary:
To strive to do something: to make a lot of effort to achieve something.
To foster something: to help something to develop over a period of time.
Token: a piece of paper that you can exchange for goods of a particular value in a shop.
Voucher: an official piece of paper that you can use instead of money to buy a particular product or service.
Morale: the amount of enthusiasm that a person or a group of people feel about their situation at a particular time.
Figure out: to be able to understand something or solve a problem.

  1. 1. They assume that job satisfaction is directly related to pay.
    2. Employees value relationships and friendships over pay.
    3. Feeling valued, appreciated and needed.
    4. They should encourage them to work together and get to know each other.
    5. They should talk to their employees and let them assist them. They should take feedback into consideration.
    6. It's a good idea to recognise employees for their efforts.
    7. Managers can do it in private (a conversation, an email, a message) or in public.
    8. To encourage other people to do the same thing.
    9. To improve morale and show appreciation for a well-done job.
