- Children are wasting valuable time when they could be reading a book or socialising with friends, doing something more proactive.
- Studies have shown that video games can be very addictive.
The man completely disagrees because:
- He loves playing them. He's been playing them since he was very young and it has had no negative effect on him.
- It can be very sociable (friends playing at the same time online...).
- Games are violent, but cartoons, movies and books are violent too so it's not just video games.
- Studies have shown that playing games can increase your ability to make decisions, to make assessments and your spatial awareness.
The only negative aspect is that his girlfriend is not very happy about it.
